OMAC: Drawing For Concept Artists

 An attempt at adding the fiery glow that results in objects entering the planet's atmosphere at high speeds.
So far I am happy with this image's progression I would still like to refine it further in some areas.

Unfortunately I lost the preliminary and process files for this image however the story here is an explanation as to how OMAC finds himself in the distant future and Brother Eye crashed & ruin in the middle of a toxic wasteland.

In this image OMAC confronts an infected Brother eye satellite (the very bottom of it anyway) The satellite has been infected by a virus causing Brother Eye to corrupt and reprogram itself into the genocidal NERO.

NERO has deemed all of humanity a plague that needs to be wiped out to save the earth from their corruption and orders OMAC to wipe out humanity! After refusing NERO seeks to destroy and replace OMAC with a more obedient model resulting in both locked in an epic struggle of man vs machine as they both plummet down to the earth's surface.

 Here is a step by step ish process for my satellites image the design was based off real satellites as well as references of sci-fi space ships.

 A few sketches exploring the type of build OMAC would have to fit inside the bulky heavy cybernetic frame.

Out of the sketches below I found myself drawn to the heavy armoured and slightly hunched OMAC.

This guy suggested to me heavy modification and a focus on heavy weaponry and massive physical capabilities.

The cylinders on his back were an idea that crossed my mind while doodling, perhaps OMAC needs a special type of fuel such as a regular liquid injection to keep him as OMAC for longer peroids instead of the beam from the satellite. 

Here are some very quick sketches of a male omac of different variations, like before I was going for a cybernetic maby futuristic military feel to him.

After looking over my designs again I started to dislike the female OMAC as I wanted to link the character directly to the original plus to avoid the obvious flaw with the name One Man Army Core.

So I decided to go back to the drawing board and perhaps re visit my first concepts to invoke new inspiration.

 I started creating a final piece depicting OMAC standing mentally broken in a sea of dead bodies with the ever watchful eye of the satellite (Brother Eye) forcing her to carry out her mission.
I revived feedback regarding my choice of using a horizontal landscape page for a subject matter that is predominantly vertical in nature, and to watch out for unintended symmetry creeping into in my image. I shall have to keep an eye out for these problem areas in future to further improve my work.

As i continued to sketch I found myself intrigued by the thought of a female OMAC that had been alive for hundreds of years and had accentually been turned into a cybernetic warrior with little of her humanity remaining, now nothing more than a head and spine floating in a power suit.

After receiving the Brief to re imagine OMAC for a Life action film my mind started reeling at the possibilities. At first I wanted to make OMAC into a type of military style mercenary that is sustained by the Brother Eye satellite in form of weapons ammunition and rations.
